Our purpose is that we optimize consumer value over time by delivering successful releases. We do this by providing cross functional collaboration arenas and orchestrate value flow. Providing clear and transparent status regarding releases. Delivering compliant and quality assured releases and continuously developing our people and operations.  SW release department have the same purpose with focus on our complete vehicle SW platform releases.  Would you like to be part of Volvo Cars journey? You are a person that have deep knowledge of SW development lifecycle and long experience from release management and program management. You are curious and eager to learn the complexity of developing and releasing SW products such as a vehicle. You want to the part of Volvo Cars journey and help out to reach the goal of becoming SW driven company. You are motivated by quality assured deliveries.  What’s in it for you? You will be responsible for the release management of our releases to end customer, meaning factory, aftermarket, and customer vehicle. This includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the R&D enterprise which includes various portfolios. You will work very closely with our release arenas and the release managers within the portfolios. This position also collaborates heavily with stakeholders and will be required to ensure needs and wants are understood, this requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. Where necessary you’ll be part of setting up processes and tools for achieving successful release management for the releases at complete level.   Do you fit the profile? We are looking for somebody with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and 8-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. You have 5-10 years of previous release and/or project management experience, (Solid understanding of project management principles preferred) and formal training in project management practices is preferred. You also have advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and a demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion. You demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills. Meritorious: * Experience within automotive and from working in an international environment. * Agile frameworks and development such as SAFe.
