Purpose

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for product vision, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. In this role you will collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with cross-functional groups including Engineering, Sales, Finance, Marketing and
Operations. You will be responsible to for guiding products through the execution cycle, focusing on analyzing customer requirements and technology trends, R&D, product definition, positioning and resource prioritization. The
Product Management group is responsible for ensuring that revenue, ROI and customer satisfaction goals are met as part of PCTEL's strategic programs. In addition, the successful candidate will create the materials to promote the portfolio with the marketing department and educate the sales force and market on the product's applications and benefits.

Job Functions

Essential

·
Responsible for gathering and
defining product requirements, strategy, specifications, and roadmap, as well as making recommendations and presenting options that enhance the value of the product, allowing PCTEL's products to achieve rapid time to market.

Delivers Product Requirement
Documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification.

·
Coordinates Product Requirement
implementation with Engineering Development and business cases for new products and product enhancements.

·
Owns and champions assigned products
through lifecycle including pricing definition to meet revenue and profitability goals. Becomes an expert with respect to the competition.

·
Analyzes issues, generates plans,
drives action, and communicates effectively and diplomatically focusing on negotiating for the critical few that have the greatest impact.

·
Develops sales tools and collateral
including core positioning, messaging, application notes, datasheets, brochures, presentations, training material, webinar presentations, competitive analysis, etc.

·
Trains the Technical Sales Support
Team at product launch

·
General skills include the following:

Product
Specific Requirements – Preferred (Antennas)


·
Possesses RF knowledge of cellular
and critical communications technologies including 5G NR, WiFi, WCDMA, GSM,
LTE, and Land Mobile Radio (P25, DMR and TETRA)

·
Experience working with enterprise
routers, access points and critical communication/cellular radios.

·
Experience working with antenna
design.

Educational/Training
Requirements


·
Bachelor's Degree in a Technical
Field: Engineering, Computer Science, etc.

·
Minimum 4+ years of experience in wireless telecom market of which 2+ years having product management, business development or technical sales responsibility.

·
Demonstrated leadership ability among
peers, with ability to communicate/champion issues to upper management.

·
Strong organizational and
multi-tasking skills.

·
Ability to work under date-driven
schedules.

·
Advanced presentation skills.

·
Strong writing ability to create
application notes, brochures, product briefs, etc.

·
Ability to secure confidential
information.

·
Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.

·
Advanced verbal and written communication skills

·
Advanced skills interacting
cross-functionally with various departments especially Engineering, Sales,
Operations and Customer Service.
