Region Östergötland is the main health care provider in Östergötland county with approximately 13 000 employees, 11 600 of which in healthcare. Three hospitals and 43 primary care centers are provided for the general population, as well as 40 public dental clinics. The university hospital in Linköping serves the southeastern part of Sweden with 1.2 million inhabitants. We are now searching for specialised OR-nurses to our clinic ANOPIVA (Anesthesia, OR and Intensive care). Our OR-unit provides anesthesia and OR services for different specializations that includes high-tech advanced OR care, emergency care of trauma patients. Our areas of specializations includes neurosurgery with endovascular interventional treatment, advanced abdominal OR, gynecology, urology and robotic OR, orthopedics, back OR, hand- and plastic-OR with burn care and a pediatric unit with mixed pediatric OR. There is also a special unit for ear OR and anesthesia services for discontinued operations. As a OR-nurse, you have a significant role in the collaboration with colleagues in the OR-team. You´ll be allocated to one of our specializations, but you´ll get an introduction to all our different sections. This means that you work in your section but have knowledge of emergency procedures at each unit on call. Here is a pleasant workplace with teamwork that is characterized by commitment, curiosity, responsibility and respect for the patient and each other. The position as an OR-nurse includes working shifts (evenings, nights and weekends). Requirements • Registered nurse within the EU/EEA • Work experience from OR • If applicable, specialty in OR registered nurse • Basic computer skills in Microsoft office • English and Swedish language skills Personal characteristics For this position you’ll need to have the ability to quickly adapt to new circumstances and can handle situations in a constructive, problem-solving manner. You are a curious person and want to contribute to the development of our clinic. You enjoy teamwork and have a good cooperative ability. Furthermore, you are a committed person who wants to be involved and contribute to a positive workplace. You are a responsible co-worker and have the ability to work in a structured way. Terms of employment Before moving to Sweden you need to reach a certain level in the Swedish language and have your nurse training recognized by the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/en/licence-application/. Your employment will start with a clinical trial and introduction period, combined with further language studies. If the trial period will be proved satisfactory and you demonstrate required skills recognized by the County Council of Östergötland, it will automatically turn into a permanent employment.   All contracts follow local and national collective agreements. Salary are set individually depending on your qualification and experience.
