The role
In the role as Packaging & IMP Manager you will be a part of Sobi´s team Packaging & IMP Operations (Investigational Medicinal Product) that is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Sobi’s global network of Packaging CMOs, both for commercial Packaging and the supply of material for Sobi´s clinical trials.

The role includes responsibilities for leading and coordinating strategic activities with the internal Product teams and with external partners. You are also expected to improve existing and establish new global partnerships to support the strategic growth of Sobi within Pharmaceutical Packaging and Clinical Supplies.

You report to the Director and Head of Packaging & IMP Operations at Sobi.

Main tasks:
  • Coordinate and drive strategic activities related to Packaging Operations and Clinical Supplies
  • Be the primary point of contact for partners in Sobi´s external CMO network, responsible for monitoring and assuring CMO performance
  • Coordinate internal functions and external CMOs to ensure continuous supply to our markets and clinical trials
  • Participate in sourcing evaluation for packaging CMOs and CROs
  • Lead and drive Packaging Tech Transfer to new or existing partners and territories
  • Subject matter expert for Clinical Supplies, responsible for maintaining and improving IMP processes internally and towards Sobi´s CMOs
  • Identify and drive Packaging and IMP related projects and improvement
Experience and competencies
A university degree within manufacturing or supply chain or equivalent working experience is a prerequisite for the role. The role requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience from the pharmaceutical industry and a thorough knowledge within Clinical Supplies, Pharmaceutical Packaging and/or Technology Transfers. The right candidate should also have knowledge of GMP/GCP manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and industry regulatory standards. Previous work involving direct contact with CMO´s, Technical Transfers, Clinical Supplies and geographical expansion into non-EU/US territories are meritorious. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.

The ideal candidate for the role is driven, service minded, and flexible with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You have a high sense of responsibility and feel comfortable working in an operational role, taking lead on project- and issue management. Strong team leadership and working skills are required to work effectively and establish/maintain effective working relationships with internal/external partners.
