Expansive Worlds is a creative division of Avalanche Studios Group and a leading developer and publisher of outdoor games. Since 2009, Expansive Worlds has been devoted to delivering highly immersive outdoor gaming experiences for millions of players and best known for the long-standing and successful theHunter franchise. The Position Expansive Worlds is currently hiring a Senior Game Designer to join our Call of the Wild development team, either in Malmo or Stockholm. As a Senior Game Designer, it is your job to conceive of new and engaging gameplay content and implement it into Call of the Wild using our proprietary engine. You do this by collaborating closely with your fellow designers, artists, animators, programmers, audio designers and the QA team to map out and deliver your ideas from conception to final release. Being intimately familiar with the game, establishing a connection with our players and identifying new trends in the community, will be key to coming up with ideas that simultaneously retain the spirit of the existing game and push its boundaries into new territory. Required Qualifications - 5+ years in a game design role with at least 2 years in live operations - Experience working on an Open World game - Proven ability to contribute to releasable gameplay in a production environment - Experience and confidence in presenting new ideas - Proven ability to iterate and change gameplay based on feedback - Proven ability to create viable design solutions on paper Expectations on a Designer at Avalanche - Seeking and achieving alignment with conflicting requirements and opinions. - A drive to improve workflows, knowledge sharing and community - A diligent gamer - Vast and up to date knowledge of released games - able to draw references - Motivated and driven To thrive in a design position at Avalanche Studios Group, you need to be willing and have the ability to learn new tools and workflows.
