You will be part of Vestas Northern and Central Europe which is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, Finland, Celtic, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and the south part of Africa. We are responsible for the sales function, project, installation, and service of wind farms throughout these regions. Our Swedish headquarter is in Malmö and we have warehouses on several locations across Sweden.

The Service Department is responsible for the service and maintenance of the wind farms within Scandinavia. Vestas Northern and Central Europe strive to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, not only in modern energy but also in employee and customer satisfaction. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.

Plant Engineering is part of the Service Business Unit NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organisation in selling, installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants.

Responsibilities

As a SCADA Engineer with IT focus, you will be part of the team responsible for implementing power control concepts, local options, and other automated functionalities in power plants based on Vestas standards and customer specific requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer as well as all kind of solutions around our SCADA products to resolve issues and projects with moderate complexity. Your focus will be on the server and monitoring of our parks.

Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:

  • Do site specific configuration on new servers, such as mimics, OPC protocol, environmental systems
  • Ensure correct monitoring of our parks
  • Support our service phase, maintenance and fault finding on servers
  • Remote support for replacement of servers
  • SCADA system upgrades and engineering of After Sales Projects
  • Technical documentation

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a solid background within IT and remote troubleshooting. If you are also experienced in other areas, such as network, you are very interesting for us.

Furthermore, we believe you have/are:

  • Experience with SQL databases, IT hardware/software and Microsoft tools
  • Experience in troubleshooting Windows servers
  • Strong English skills, both in speech and writing

Experience within the following areas, we see as a bonus:

  • VM Ware
  • OPC/OPC UA
  • Working with wind turbines

Additional information

Location for this position is Malmö. There will be some occasional travel for site visits and team meetings.
