Who we are Volvo Cars and Geely Auto are combining their powertrain operations into a standalone business focused on next-generation hybrid systems and internal combustion engines. To power the sustainable mobility of the future, a variety of energy sources will be needed. We plan to develop advanced, efficient powertrains for Volvo Cars, Geely Auto, Proton, Lotus, LEVC and Lynk & Co, as well as other OEMs. Our high-performance solutions are already trusted all over the world. Today we power hundreds of thousands of vehicles across the globe. With facilities in China and Sweden, we expect to employ more than 10,000 employees across Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, IT and other support functions. What’s in it for you? There is a Joint Venture to be established between Geely and Volvo Cars Powertrain units. In this setup we need to build a joint digital platform, find synergies and best practice within the newly established group. We need to innovate together to setup a good digital foundation for the future. In the Product Creation and Manufacturing Engineering team you will be working with a group of skilled professionals with an agile mindset and with the common goal to create the future PC & ME environment for the Powertrain business. You will have a central role where you are the subject matter expert responsible for aligning the PLM systems architecture needs and coaching the team members from the various product teams. The team is mainly located in Gothenburg (HQ) and Skövde (Plant), Sweden, and we also connected to teams in China. You will report to Head of PC & ME. What you’ll do Lead the infrastructure setup of the new standalone PLM system based on Siemens PLM suites. You will need to be able to specify and size the appropriate infrastructure for Teamcenter components that will be part of the PLM solution. You will be responsible for planning efficient Teamcenter upgrades to minimize downtime and secure high availability. During the development phase of the new PLM environment you will be responsible for getting the system changes needed by the various domains deployed in a timely manner. In addition, you will: * Act as a subject matter expert to the TC administrators when it comes to best practices of deploying and maintaining the various components of Teamcenter. * In close collaboration with the PLM Solution Architect and the Solution leads participate in Transferring PLM solutions from the source environments to the target environment requiring deep knowledge in data model administration. * Set up maintenance and operations routines together with our service providers. You and your skills We believe you have BSc in mechanical engineering or IT and several years of experience in Siemens PLM suite Teamcenter. You are a recognized expert in the PLM domain with an established professional network. We also believe you: * Have experience in operating complex deployments of Teamcenter. * Are well acquainted with all components and the best practices of deploying them. * Are familiar with Data migration and system integrations.
