The customized Truck Development department is responsible for the customer- and market adaptation of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. It is an expansive area where Scania invests to get into new markets and segments. Our section, System Development is responsible for all electrics and function development within the department and our team is a group of eight team members working with S-order electrics and harness design. We are now searching for an enthusiastic and positive development engineer who wants to meet the challenge of the future within e.g. electrification and alternative fuels together with us. Your role Our group RSSC is responsible for the electrical hardware and cable harness design in our section, System Development at Customized Truck Development.  We are working with short lead times and specific customer demands. Our group covers a wide area of the electrical design process, hence, our working days and tasks vary a lot. With a growing demand for customization of electrical functionality and also within electrification we now need to strengthen our team with talent possessing electrical engineering skills. You will work with both new development, adaptations, and maintenance of existing special-order products. Work tasks included creating circuit diagrams and drawings for cable harness (2D/3D), analyzing and answering customer-related requirements /requests, and writing demand specifications and functional descriptions for systems and electrical HW. Secure that electrical components fulfill our requirements, verify and also test our solutions. You will work actively on projects and assignments, from pre-study to serial production, and be responsible for planning, design, quality assurance, and deviation handling. You are also responsible for continuously improving and challenging the group working methods and processes with the colleagues in the team. Your profile You have a great technical interest and like the challenge of finding solutions for unique customer requests. As a person, you are structured, driven, flexible, and used to taking responsibility. You can easily collaborate with others and work independently towards a set target. You are a generalist rather than a specialist and like to have multiple works ongoing.                        You have an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive or equivalent. You are recently graduated or with a maximum of 3 years post-graduation work experience. You have skills in electrics both theoretical and practical combined with a genuine interest in automotive. You can read and understand circuit diagrams and perform measurements on electric parts. Experience from working within the automotive industry, as well as making drawings within 2D and 3D with tools such as Catia V5 and Saber is merit.  You can communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken plus have at least basic Swedish knowledge with an intention to develop further.
