About the role

AAK are seeking to appoint a Demand Planner to join the European Demand Planning team, responsible for validating the mid-term (current year & next year) forecast on a monthly basis. This is done through collaboration with the commercial organization, considering historical data, new product development, and risks and opportunities. The result is a validated demand signal for supply and capacity planning. You will ensure that Demand Planning activities are accurate and well maintained and assist with implementing new and innovative ways of working to improve current processes. This role will include travel between AAK's European sites.

  • Analyse sales forecasts to effectively and accurately to improve future demand
  • Compare historical figures and current information to identify trends and recognize change
  • Use statistical analysis where applicable to identify trends and recognize change.
  • Challenge forecast data with the account managers and ensure follow up actions are completed
  • Provide input into the European S&OP process on a monthly basis
  • Manage and produce accurate and relevant reports to aid decision making; help identify future bottlenecks and provide input which will define the direction the business will take
  • Present relevant information and feedback regarding demand and forecasts to all levels in the organisation
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders leading to high engagement in the Demand and Supply Planning process
  • Continually challenge current way of working and work towards continuously improving demand planning tools and processes
  • Set and work to KPIs; creating actions for improvement and follow-up
About you
  • Educated to Degree Level
  • Previous industry experience in at least one of the following: B2B, B2C, complex product mix, Multi-national / multi-site organization
  • Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chains
  • Ability to analyse and challenge large volumes of data from multiple systems, familiarity with statistics an advantage
  • Ability to communicate with and challenge Stakeholders ensuring strong engagement
  • Strong background in IT systems and their application in supply chains
  • Analytical and Creative thinking, ability to interpret data and create scenarios for decision making
