What you will do You will be joining the growing revenue operations team in Funnel as our first data analyst. We work together with the whole commercial team to deliver on Funnel’s ambitious growth goals. As an insight analyst, your main focus will be using data to find and answer difficult business questions to uncover operational issues and opportunities, and to develop recommendations and solutions. You will work closely with our internal stakeholders and the revenue operations team to communicate your findings, build business context and develop recommendations. Areas of interest would include sales pipeline data, customer acquisition data, client product usage data and many more. Identify problems and opportunities - The main goal of this role is to find answers to difficult business questions and find key insights in large data sets relating to business processes and goals. - Identify trends and patterns in data that can help improve our outcomes. - Find areas of further analysis, what are the questions we should be asking? Research - After identifying an issue or opportunity you will work with the available data to best understand the root cause and possible solutions, this can include; scoping the question, sourcing, preparing and cleaning data, joining and transforming datasets, applying data analytics and statistical modelling techniques across multiple dimensions to find correlations, eliminating bias/ skew, linking key data points and trends to business context, and finally presenting key findings. - Example areas of interest can include: churn risk indicators, determining sales deal win probabilities and key win rate factors, identifying trends between product usage and upsell opportunities. Recommend - In the role you will build understanding of our data and commercial context; you will use the insights you find to prepare and deliver business recommendations to the revenue operations team, collaborators and leadership. Collaborate - As you will be working on complex business questions and data, you will work closely with the revenue operations team, Funnel’s BI team and our stakeholders in the commercial teams to build business context, data structure knowledge and to develop and present recommendations. Communicate - Sharing insights and recommendations is a key part of this role, so it is important to have great verbal and written communication skills to effectively share insights, explain data and deliver well-reasoned recommendations to stakeholders in leadership and other departments. Who we think you are We are looking for a data analyst who either has or would like to build a deep understanding of commercial needs and processes within a fast growing SaaS company. With a solution-oriented and enthusiastic proactive mindset - you perform your best in fast-changing and innovative environments. You love data, you are curious and have great data communication skills. Some things that might describe you: - 2+ years relevant experience in similar data analytics/ insights role - Experience working with commercial data (for example CRM, SaaS, and sales cycle data) - Expertise in SQL for analytic queries and reporting - Demonstrable expertise with tools or scripting language for data analytics e.g. Python (Pandas, Seaborn etc), R (tidyverse). (In other words more than spreadsheets!) - Experience with more advanced analytics (such as website lead cohort analysis, regression analysis, predictive analytics and statistical modelling) is beneficial - Experience with specific data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau etc. is a plus - Fluent in written and spoken English - Great data visualization and communication skills The Revenue Operations Team You will join our team of 5 revenue operations managers based in both Stockholm and Boston.
