Within Sandvik Group, we’re passionate about development and advanced technology, and we always aim to offer the best possible experience for our customers. Right now, we’re taking an exciting step in transforming our market-leading business even further within the area of stone crushers and screening equipment for the mining and construction industries. This is done by the founding of an independent, growth-oriented and customer-centric Business Area by the name of Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions. A place of inclusive collaboration, agility and innovation - where we nurture an ever-growing portfolio of products and solutions based on the needs of the market, and where pioneering software technology meets the core of manufacturing.

For a completely new role equally shared between IT and our Sourcing department, we’re now looking for a Category Manager IT & Indirect Sourcing. The role will be supporting all our divisions and global regions. This is a unique opportunity to influence our way forward, and we offer you international networks and great possibilities for self-development.

Let’s talk about the job

In this role, you’re accountable for our global IT sourcing portfolio within your assigned area, and you ensure sourcing strategies and plans aligned with the overall business strategy, policies, guidelines, regulation and laws. For the role you identify, prepare and manage sourcing projects and cases, and you guide the selection, development and management of strategic suppliers to meet cost, compliance and performance goals. Licensing, negotiating and implementing contracts are important parts in this job, and with an end-to-end responsibility for the overall business area. To drive and maintain Supplier and Stakeholder management with healthy relationships are important for the role. You support key stakeholders through the annual budgeting cycle in addressing the impact on their indirect spend. You also guide and coach the divisions with local IT vendor negotiations and contract set up to ensure that global IT requirements are met. Further, you understand and monitor market conditions and trends, developing technologies, emerging companies and best in class service providers.

A big part of your success comes from building networks and establishing good relations with key stakeholders to ensure understanding of business needs. The IT-architect and Service Delivery teams bring important input to your mission, and as an active participant in the IT Supplier council, you align our actions with other business areas within the Sandvik Group to leverage where it brings value with vendors and contracts.

The location for this position is Svedala – a fast and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund and Ystad, and with our site located just across from the train station.

Experience from global suppliers in the IT area and different IT-specific commercial models and IT terms and conditions is important. As we act locally but in an international environment, you need strong language skills in Swedish and English, both in speaking and writing.

You’re sincerely interested in your field and keep up to date with its development, and with a solution-oriented attitude and great personal drive and leadership skills, you comfortably propose and drive change. You find motivation in delivering results in a complex environment, and being structured, analytical and business minded, you identify and grasp the potential of each unique business opportunity.
