Company Description

Do you want to be a part of transforming H&M’s analytical toolkit? Are you highly skilled in Power BI, SQL or data modelling? Do you have the drive and the initiative to work with teams across the company and establish a new generation of tools?

H&M Group is on a journey to becoming a truly customer-focused company. Insights and analytics are a key part of this transformation, so we in the Central BI team have an important role to play. In the coming years our team will map business needs, build reports and datasets, democratize data and lead BI development across the company. If you join us you will be working in a dynamic environment, close to our core business, enabling thousands of decision-makers across all H&M markets globally. Your projects will be short but impactful and give you opportunity to work with many different subject areas. Since we work with all commercial functions, including Assortment & Design, Marketing, Store sales and Online sales, you will truly get an overview of the company.

Job Description

Parts of this role are highly technical. You will be transforming and visualizing large amounts of data for hundreds of users in a complex data environment. If you love building things, solving technical problems and learning quickly, you will feel right at home. But this is more than a technical role. To succeed, you will need to take initiative, manage your own projects, communicate clearly with many stakeholders, and strive to truly understand our business. If you want this combination – high expectations on both technical and non-technical skills – you will love this team. We are a part of the broader Customer Insights and Analytics team, a group of more than 25 data scientists and analysts driving H&M’s development in business analytics.

Qualifications

  • Build reports and data models that take H&M’s analytical capabilities to the next level
  • Work with a wide range of business stakeholders to understand analytical needs and make sure our reports have a strong business impact
  • Share your technical knowledge and contribute to the H&M BI and data community

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Have a genuine interest in creating business value out of data
  • Are self-driven, pragmatic, structured and thorough in your deliveries
  • Are highly experienced in working with large data sets and complex problems
  • Enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues and leading by example
  • Actively follow the latest developments in BI tech, and have the drive to realize its potential
  • Love data as much as we do

Technical skills

  • Report creation in Power BI (or similar)
  • Data modelling and DAX (e.g. Power BI, SSAS Tabular)
  • SQL
