BNP Paribas Cardif provides insurance solutions on the Nordic markets through banks, finance and insurance companies. The largest product group is creditor insurance. The objective for the BNP Paribas Cardif Nordic group is to create long-term relationships with its partners, and the business model optimizes each step in the value chain to create and continuously increase customer and partner value.

We are now searching for a Senior Project Manager to our office in Gothenburg that will be a part of our Project Management Office (PMO) who steer all projects of our company. They include the implementation of new products distributed by our partners, service digitalisation to our end customers and partners, efficiency projects through automation of our processes, regulatory projects (such as IFRS or GDPR) and many more.


Project manager responsibilities:

  • As we are in a transition phase, the PM may need to use tailoring in order to customize the best project management methodology for the specific project.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the project from the requirements gathering, planning, development, testing to the final delivery.
  • Establishing project charter, management plans and baseline.
  • In some projects, you may also be planning sprints and will lead the backlog prioritization together with the product owner and the customer.
  • Performing risk analysis and continually reviewing and mitigating the project risks.
  • Internal resource allocation, external resource acquirement.
  • Establishing a solid monitoring and control process.
  • Leading a cross-functional project- or agile team.
  • Manage relationship with suppliers to the project.
  • Act as an ambassador for the PMO and contribute to increased level of project management understanding at the company by pedagogically explain the “why” behind each project management process for colleagues working at various functions of the company.
  • Contributing to PMO repository with your project documents.

Skill requirements:

  • Professional background: PMP certified with at least 5+ years project management experience.
  • Additional agile certifications such as PMI-ACP, SAFe and Scrum master certifications are strong merit.
  • Experience from setting up hybrid projects or lead projects according to hybrid framework is a merit.
  • Experience from leading digitalization projects, online products- or IT service development projects or organization development projects including IT solutions.
  • Educational background: University degree preferably within fields of computer science / engineering or equivalent working experience.
  • Business Acumen and ability to understand how you through delivery of your project objectives within time frame and budget will contribute to the company business strategy.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience from leading virtual teams is merit.
  • Driven and structured.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and excellent analytical skills.
  • Tools: MS Project, Jira, MS Office especially Excel and Power Point.
  • Languages: Fluent English, Swedish is merit.
