Come work with us at GOALS! We have just started building our dream game and are looking for an AI Software Engineer. We have a genuine ambition to make something that is more than a game. In the GOALS universe games exist both on and off screen, blending football, fashion, esports and digital assets. As an AI Software Engineer you will act as a generalist doing everything from advising the studio on new applications for AI as well as being part of implementing the game AI in engine. We want to try a lot of new things at Goals. One of the first things we want to try is training a neural net to control the AI-controlled players on the field. Some problems we will probably have to solve with classical scripted AI and you are comfortable with this as well. You will have to manage preparations of datasets as well as building infrastructure for training our networks. We are aiming for really low spec hardware so that as many players as possible can play the game, this means choosing parameters wisely and making inference cheap. As an individual you are bold and like to try new things. Just because something has not been done before, does not mean it should not be done and you love to solve problems in a team. At Goals, we love to share our work with the community and this goes for Engineers as well. We encourage you to share your learnings and what you work on at Goals. Qualifications - Good understanding of C++ programming. - Experience from training neural networks. - Good knowledge of one of the common frameworks for training neural nets, such as TensorFlow, Pytorch, Caffee, etc. - Experience with preparing data for use in training networks. It Would Be Nice If You Have - Experience from writing classical scripted game AI. - Experience implementing an inference engine for a game or application. - Experience from working in a game engine such as Unity, Unreal or Frostbite. About the Employment The position is permanent, starting with 6 months of probationary employment. You can work from our Stockholm office, fully remote or hybrid. It is important that you are able to communicate unhindered in verbal/written English and that you can work in a timezone close to Stockholm (GMT 0-3 hours).
