An opportunity has arisen for a Yard Operative role at our Lantmännen Unibake bakery in Miton Keynes. This role works permanent days

12-hour shifts covering days and weekdays/weekends, on a two-week rota. Shift patterns are 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off.

You will be great at

• Emptying Product waste bins into the compactors
• Clean the waste bins before sending them back into the bakery
• Emptying any clean packing waste into the correct baler and then placing the baled waste onto the trailer
• Emptying any general waste from the offices into the general waste skip
• Emptying any recyclable waste from the offices into the recycled waste skip
• Reporting on a daily basis the levels of the compactors, LPG, red diesel and any consumables that are required

You are:

Motivated and enthusiastic with a desire to learn

You have:

• Previous experience in FLT driving
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• General understanding of continuous improvement
• Ability to follow strict operating parameters and procedures
• Ability to contribute to problem solving, process optimisation and continuous improvement activities
• Ability to maintain focus and drive when dealing with fast paced and repetitive tasks
• Good eye for detail with high standards

Pay rate:

With an hourly rate of £12.37 per hour

Shift pattern:

We operate a continental shift pattern with 7 days off in every 14-day cycle. We are a 24/7 operating bakery, 12-hour shifts covering days and weekdays/weekends, on a two-week Rota. Shift patterns are 4 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 4 days off. Shifts start times are 6am and 6pm.
