We are looking for an experienced Workday Payroll Integration Specialist to join a global HR Tech environment in a hands-on consulting role.

In this assignment, you will design, build, and maintain outbound payroll integrations from Workday to external payroll vendors across multiple countries, systems, and formats. You will play a key role in delivering robust, scalable, and audit-ready payroll data flows in a complex, international setup.

Your Role

As part of a skilled HR Technology team, you will act as a technical lead within payroll integration projects, working closely with HRIS, Payroll teams, and external vendors.

What You'll Do

Lead the integration track in payroll-related development projects

Design, build, and troubleshoot integrations using:

Core Connector: Payroll

Workday Global Payroll Connect

EIBs and Workday Studio

Collaborate directly with external payroll vendors to:

Define technical specifications

Exchange and validate test files

Resolve integration issues

Transform Workday data into vendor-specific payroll formats

Document mapping logic, transformations, and integration flows

Manage end-to-end testing, including parallel runs and cutover validation

Ensure smooth transition into operations with clear documentation and handover

Propose improvements to increase reliability, transparency, and performance

Skills & Experience Required

3+ years of Workday experience, including 2+ years delivering payroll integration projects

Strong hands-on experience with:

Core Connector: Payroll

Workday Global Payroll Connect

Custom file transformations

Experience working directly with external payroll vendors (e.g. ADP, SD Worx, Strada or similar)

Solid understanding of payroll concepts (gross/net pay, deductions, calendars, etc.)

Ability to translate business requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions

Workday certification within Integration and/or Payroll

Experience with secure file transfer and encryption protocols (e.g. SFTP, PGP)

Previous experience in global payroll integrations is highly valued
