Job Description: Generator Winder

Position Overview
EarthStream Global are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator Winder to join our team. The ideal candidate must have direct hands-on experience with GE or Siemens generator units and preferably be OEM-trained. This role requires a motivated individual capable of traveling globally at short notice and managing complex assignments in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform winding and rewinding of generator rotors, stators, and other electrical components for GE or Siemens units.
• Conduct inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing on generators to ensure optimal performance.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics specific to GE or Siemens units.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Utilise advanced winding techniques to meet or exceed OEM standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience working with GE or Siemens generator units.
• OEM training from GE or Siemens is highly preferred.
• Proficient in the use of tools and equipment for generator winding.
• Strong knowledge of generator construction, materials, and performance characteristics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Attributes

• Certification or formal training in generator winding techniques.
• Familiarity with other OEM generator units or hybrid technologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in various environmental conditions.
• Willingness to travel globally, often on short notice, and work extended hours as needed.
