Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Verification & Validation Engineer (Level 2) to join an R&D team working with protection and control products used in substation automation.

The role is fully on-site and involves product and system testing during the development phase prior to product release. You will work in a structured test team consisting of test engineers and a test lead, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

What you will work on:

Perform product and system verification and validation testing for protection and control systems

Develop and maintain test specifications based on product requirements

Configure products and systems prior to testing in accordance with specifications and substation automation standards

Establish complete test setups, including auxiliary equipment, wiring, and supervision

Automate test cases where applicable to improve efficiency and repeatability

Execute manual and automated tests according to defined test plans

Document, report, and analyze test results and deviations

Ensure electrical safety during all test activities

Collaborate closely with the test team to ensure high-quality and reliable test outcomes

What you bring:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience

2-5 years of hands-on experience within substation automation, protection relays, and/or system testing

Good knowledge of substation automation standards, such as IEC 61850

Solid understanding of communication protocols and systems

Experience in product and system testing within R&D or industrial environments

Structured and detail-oriented approach to testing and documentation

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Fluency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written

Background in electronics systems, communication technology, software testing, automation, or electrical engineering is highly relevant
