This is a new, strategic role within Group Function Technology, in the Technology Management unit within Architecture & Portfolio, working with solutions and advanced technology topics that shape Ericsson's future. You will operate close to units cross Ericsson , engaging with multiple expert domains and building on strong senior technical leadership within the organization. The role is highly strategic, combining deep technical understanding with ecosystem and market perspective.
A core part of the role is to analyse AI hardware and how it will evolve over time - including who develops these technologies, key suppliers, market trends, and how different hardware and software stacks fit into Ericsson's long-term portfolio strategy.
This role suits someone with a strong technical curiosity, who enjoys asking the right questions, leading technical and strategic studies, and connecting technology choices to business drivers and decision-making. Your work will directly influence architecture choices and strategic priorities.
What You Will Do
• Lead and contribute to strategic studies related to AI hardware, platforms, and ecosystems
• Assess purpose-built and standard hardware and their role in Ericsson's products and services
• Translate deep technical analysis into clear, fact-based recommendations
• Present insights to senior stakeholders, influencing architecture and implementation decisions
• Help define and anchor Ericsson's AI-hardware strategy
What You Will Bring
• Passion for the intersection of technology, business, and ecosystems
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
• 15+ years of experience in leading roles within system projects, studies, and ecosystem engagement
• Deep technical understanding combined with the ability to convey complex topics clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Comfort working in complex, uncertain environments and driving outcomes through insight rather than authority
