Your role and responsibilities

Join ABB Robotics' global Tax function and play a key role in ensuring accurate tax reporting, efficient processes, and strong compliance. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise within indirect taxation and support a fast‑evolving global organization.

In this role, you will support key tax processes, documentation, and compliance activities with a particular focus on VAT across Europe. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, local entities, the Tax Operations Team, and external advisors to ensure high-quality tax reporting and effective issue resolution.

This role reports to: Regional Tax Manager

This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within tax while contributing to continuous improvements within a global environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Managing and preparing supporting documentation for tax compliance.


  • Contributing to the implementation of standards, processes, policies, and procedures to improve tax efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Supporting training activities and sharing best practices.


  • Assisting with tax accounting and reporting activities related to Indirect Taxes.


  • Providing support during tax audits and responding to requests from tax authorities.


  • Executing Internal Controls activities in line with ABB requirements.


  • Acting as a coordination point between local entities, the Tax Operations Team, and external advisors in the VAT return process when needed.


  • Serving as the first point of contact for transaction-level VAT topics in Europe and supporting stakeholders with basic VAT questions.

Your background

  • Experience in tax, finance, or a related field.


  • Good general knowledge of EU VAT and previous experience working with VAT matters.


  • Experience in accounting of taxes.


  • Experience or strong interest in tax compliance.


  • Strong attention to detail, a structured way of working, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.


  • A proactive mindset with an eagerness to continuously learn and develop.
