ALTEN is now looking for a

SYSTEM VERIFICATION ENGINEER for an assignment with one of our clients within the automotive industry in Gothenburg. In this role, you will work with verification and testing of vehicle connectivity systems, ensuring robustness, quality, and readiness before release.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a System Verification Engineer, you will work with end-to-end verification of vehicle connectivity solutions, both onboard and offboard. The role includes hands-on diagnostics and fault tracing in vehicles and system rigs, as well as development and execution of test cases based on system and vehicle requirements.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams as well as workshops and service organizations to coordinate and perform testing activities. The assignment combines structured verification work with practical, hands-on troubleshooting in complex automotive environments.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform vehicle diagnostics and fault tracing in rigs and vehicles

Execute end-to-end testing of onboard and offboard connectivity solutions

Develop, execute, and report test cases on system and vehicle level

Verify functionality according to requirements and quality targets

Secure quality and readiness before release

Contribute to continuous improvements of test methods and processes

YOUR PROFILE

You are a structured and analytical engineer who enjoys hands-on verification work and system-level problem solving. You are curious, proactive, and comfortable working across different technical domains.

We see that you have:

Minimum 5 years of experience in system verification within automotive environments

Experience from verification in vehicles or system rigs (manual testing)

Experience from working with connectivity

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Experience with vehicle diagnostics and fault tracing

Familiarity with requirement and system tools such as SystemWeaver

Experience with Vector tools (e.g. CANalyzer, CANoe)

Very good communication skills in English

Meritorious:

A solid network within the automotive industry and understanding of development processes

Experience working close to dealers or workshops

T-shaped mindset with interest in learning new technical areas
