We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Equipment Engineer to join our team and perform study and execution work with responsibility for mechanical deliveries. The successful candidate will have a focus on mechanical equipment and will ensure the correct quality in all delivery phases.

In the role you will ensure that relevant codes and standards are met from a Mechanical Engineering perspective. Working and collaborating with other team members, engineering disciplines, departments, clients and suppliers.

Key Tasks & responsibilities

Responsible for that all mechanical equipment is designed, specified, supplied, installed and accepted according to the requirements. Mechanical equipment is typical manual and actuated valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and
pressure vessels.
  • Preparation of equipment lists, mechanical datasheets and maintenance manuals.
  • Preparation of mechanical tie-in data, installation dimensions and weights for process and equipment critical for plant design.
  • Expedite and coordinate with suppliers. Review documentation for mechanical equipment, provided by suppliers, incl. necessary certificates.
  • Arrange and attend FAT and third-party approval. Participate in supplier qualifications.
  • Identify deviations from agreed scope and be an active technical part within variation orders and claims discussions with clients and suppliers.
  • Reporting & follow-up of the discipline to the Project Manager.

Basic qualifications
  • Experience of Mechanical design in Process Industry and offshore (min 5 years).
  • Experience in design for cryogenic media is an advantage. Experience in rotating equipment is an advantage.
