Regional Marketing and Sales Manager - Northern and Central Europe

Your Role and Responsibilities

Therefore, we are also looking for a dedicated marketing and sales manager to handle service and solution sales in the electrical engineering area, so we can turn great potential into increased business.

In ABB Electrification Service Irland, we support with service for low and medium voltage electrical systems. We are a growing organization with a broad portfolio of products and services within switchgears, breakers, protection relays, arc flash mitigators, etc.

If you have a good combination of technical sales experience and business understanding, you have the right foundation to succeed in this position that plays a key role in our continued success. As Marketing & Sales Manager, you will have an overview and ensure that we are close to our customers so that we know and can meet their needs. You will be responsible for your own salespeople, including tendering engineers, and your primary customers will be within industry, utilities, data centers and other related segments.

You will be responsible for selling the entire electrification service portfolio. You will set the sales strategy for the department and individual customers, focusing on both the short and long term.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Develop and implement the sales strategy with annual profitable growth within ABB Electrification Service in Sweden
  • Ensure that the sales team executes according to strategy and goals.
  • Ensure that the tendering team is producing tenders at the right time with the right quality
  • Generate increased pipeline by analyzing market and customer needs, our installed base, in conjunction with our portfolio.
  • Be responsible for the marketing strategy and activities in the country
  • Customer relations, customer events, customer satisfaction, and coordinate marketing activities that support sales.
  • Have the responsibility to develop and follow up on sales and tendering processes in Sweden
  • Developing good cooperation between sales and tendering to create customer solutions - in close collaboration with the operations.
  • Living up to ABB's core values of safety and integrity by taking personal responsibility for your own tasks, those of your employees and colleagues and the company
  • Driving customers focused on collaboration and ensuring appropriate action towards market opportunities.
  • Take an active role in the local Electrification Service Sweden management team to show the market directions for the operational teams.

Qualifications for the Role

  • You have at least 10-12 years of commercial experience within the service or electrification industry.
  • Experience in leadership, ideally management of sales personnel
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, automation) or other related fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and execution of commercial plans and impact strategies.
  • You are fluent in English and can read and understand technical documentation.
  • Experience in technical sales and understanding of electrical engineering solutions.
  • Experience as industrial engineer, automation technician, high voltage technician, electrical technician, mechanical engineer or similar is an advantage but not a requirement.
