The Opportunity

You won't just hand off requirements; you'll define them. Working closely with stakeholders and product teams, you'll translate high-level business objectives into actionable product strategies. You're the missing link that ensures we build the right things, not just build things right.

This is your chance toshape STEX's strategic offering. We need someone to embed continuous discovery and outcome-focused thinking into our delivery, helping us evolve from design partner to strategic advisor.

What You'll Do

• Bridge the gap: Translate business goals into design execution, ensuring every feature aligns with commercial and user objectives.
• Drive discovery: Implement continuous discovery habits using frameworks like Opportunity Solution Trees to systematically map paths to desired outcomes.
• Define and validate: Move beyond broad visions to tangible action. Scope complex ideas into the smallest testable pieces to validate hypotheses early.
• Lead strategy: Define product visions and roadmaps, helping clients shift from feature-factory thinking to outcome-oriented planning.
• Realize concepts: Don't just define the path, visualize it. Jump into Figma to bring concepts to life, ensuring clear communication with design and development teams.
• Mentor and guide: Coach junior designers and client teams, elevating their strategic thinking and fostering a culture of experimentation.
• Communicate value: Articulate design decisions in business terms, confidently managing stakeholders from middle management to the C-suite.

Who You Are

• 8+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or product strategy.
• The Bridge: You speak the languages of business, engineering, and design fluently, connecting dots others miss.
• The Pragmatist: You're a master of scoping. You take a grand vision and break it down into the smallest coherent piece to test and learn. You define the core of an idea and the MVP needed to prove it.
• The Communicator: You're a storyteller who can facilitate workshops and guide stakeholders confidently through ambiguity.
• Methodology Master: You're at home with Continuous Discovery, Opportunity Solution Trees, and ideally OKRs. You have a solid foundation of frameworks to map experiences and untangle complex problems.
• The Toolkit: You move seamlessly between strategy and execution tools. You use tools such as Jira Product Discovery or Productboard to structure work, and research platforms like Dovetail or Maze to validate insights. You use Miro to map complexity, and Figma to visualize concepts and align with delivery teams.
• Language: Fluent in English (Swedish is a bonus).

What We Offer

• Compensation: 50,000-60,000 SEK/month

About Us

Sigma Technology Experience (STEX) is a company within the larger Sigma Group. We are big enough to have impact (partnering with global leaders in automotive and industry) but small enough that your voice shapes who we are. We value learning, experimentation, and "short decision paths." The design team is consisting of 8 passionate designers that comes from a UX/Interaction design background, specializing in either graphical interfaces or business and strategy.
