Om jobbet
Want to be part of transforming road freight - for good? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, electric and autonomous technologies. Through freight capacity as a service, we enable businesses around the world to accelerate towards their sustainability goals.Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world's biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden's largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.
Your mission when joining as a Senior System Owner within Network & Timing is to ensure thevehicle network delivers time-aligned, trustworthy data; so every sensor frame arriveson time and intact, andAutonomous Driving software"sees" a consistent world.
You will own:
- Network architecture for the vehicle: Ethernet topology, link speeds, and quality-of-service rules to prevent congestion.
- Select and qualify in-vehicle Ethernet components: automotive grade switches, physical-layer chips, cabling, and connectors; meeting our timing, reliability, and EMC requirements.
- Precision time synchronisation (for example, Precision Time Protocol): how clocks are distributed, the accuracy required between devices, how we measure it, and how we detect drift.
- Health and diagnostics for transport and timing: packet-loss and delay alarms, time-alignment checks, and simple signals that software can read to trust; or safely reject data.
- Acceptance criteria for transport and timing: if data is sent and timed correctly, including what formats, speeds, and delays are acceptable, and the tests we run.
- Issue closure with vendors: reproduce, isolate, and resolve transport/timing defects quickly.
- Partner with the Sensors & Compute System Owners so bandwidth, time accuracy, and compute budgets stay in balance.
- 7-10 years designing real-time networks on vehicles or industrial/robotic systems.
- Hands-on with precision time sync, quality-of-service, cabling/grounding, interference, and diagnostics.
- Strong collaboration with Autonomous Driving software on adapters, observability, and failure handling.
