Senior Risk Model Validation Analyst

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to: Deepen your expertise in credit risk: Gain invaluable experience in validating and reviewing models for capital adequacy (IRB), loan loss provisioning (IFRS 9), and portfolio credit risk (Economic Capital, macro-based stress testing)

Shape the future of risk management: Develop and implement cutting-edge model validation methodologies while ensuring they adhere to both internal and external regulations

Collaborate with experts: Work alongside model developers, model owners, business units, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient model validation processes

Make a real impact: Present validation results and key insights to senior management and regulatory bodies, helping drive critical decisions for the business

What is needed in this role: Academic background: A higher education in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or similar

Proven expertise: Previous experience in quantitative credit risk analysis, modelling, or validation, and proficiency in programming languages like Python, SAS, R, Matlab, or SPSS

Experience in modelling and/or validation in credit risk or operational risk

Experience with regulators such as ECB or FI, is a plus

Analytical mindset: A strong ability to interpret large data sets and provide clear, actionable insights

Communication skills: Ability to present complex findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Fluency in English
