Position Summary:

Lead cross-functional teams in capturing, structuring, and managing Ethernet switch requirements within Volvo Cars' Carweaver environment, ensuring seamless alignment with Volvo's timing, quality, and process standards. Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle-from stakeholder elicitation through release-while coaching teams on Carweaver best-practices and traceability workflows. Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder coordination to deliver clear, testable requirements that meet both technical and business objectives. Act as the primary interface between network, software, and vehicle-platform teams, translating complex technical needs into well-structured Carweaver artefacts. Champion a culture of continuous learning, agile delivery, and transparent communication across global and multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams in capturing, structuring, and managing Ethernet switch requirements within Volvo Cars' Carweaver environment
  • Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle-from stakeholder elicitation through release
  • Coach teams on Carweaver best-practices and traceability workflows
  • Drive sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stakeholder coordination to deliver clear, testable requirements
  • Act as the primary interface between network, software, and vehicle-platform teams
  • Translate complex technical needs into well-structured Carweaver artefacts
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, agile delivery, and transparent communication
  • Ensure seamless alignment with Volvo's timing, quality, and process standards
  • Manage multi-site, multi-cultural engineering teams across Europe, North America, and Asia
  • Navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions under high pressure
Profile Requirement:

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years' automotive systems engineering focused on ECU-level software
  • Demonstrable mastery of Carweaver (SystemWeaver) for requirements, architecture, and traceability management at Volvo Cars
  • Proven track record authoring and maintaining large sets of requirements for distributed vehicle systems, ensuring full traceability from stakeholder needs to test cases
  • Hands-on experience specifying network-related features and interfaces, including Ethernet switch configuration, routing, diagnostics, and integration with vehicle-level communication stacks
  • Strong leadership of agile teams: certified Scrum Master or equivalent, with experience running sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and cross-functional coordination in JIRA-based environments
  • Solid understanding of Volvo Cars' product-realisation process, milestone gates, and quality gates (VP, PTC, SOP) with ability to map Carweaver artefacts to each gate
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site, multi-cultural engineering teams (>8 engineers) across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering on cost, timing, and quality targets
  • Expert-level proficiency in configuration and collaboration tools such as GIT, Enterprise Architect, and JIRA for end-to-end traceability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and adaptability-able to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and drive decisions under high pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills in English (fluent) and at least one additional European language; Swedish proficiency is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced degree in Project Management combined with continuous improvement certifications (Six Sigma Black Belt, DFSS) strongly preferred
  • Experience with Ethernet switch configuration and validation
  • Background in network diagnostics and vehicle-level communication stacks
  • Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity standards and requirements
  • Familiarity with Agile at scale frameworks (SAFe, LeSS)
