We are now looking for a Senior RAN Design Engineer to join us and play a key role in shaping the future of mobile connectivity at Telia. In this position, you will contribute to RAN development and engineering across our Nordic and Baltic footprint, working closely with colleagues and partner companies both within the telecom sector and other industries.

What you'll do:

You will drive introduction of new SW functionalities, radio units and basebands in our Ericsson-based radio access networks. Your role is involved in:

• SW feature selection, implementation and evaluation
• SW parameter design and optimization
• HW configuration design for base stations including testing in lab
• Private networks and virtual private networks
• Advanced troubleshooting, sometimes in collaboration with our customers and partners
  

What will help you thrive in this role:

We are looking for a person with a passion for the latest radio technology. You will work in an international environment, with extensive contacts both within Telia, with external vendors and customers.

• Good competence in radio access network - 4G and 5G - including hands-on skills with the base station software and hardware.
• Overall understanding about the mobile network architecture, specifically for RAN but also including Core, HSS, IMS
• Tools such as Ericsson Network Manager (ENM), Polystar Kalix and Osix, Keysight NEMO or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of agile ways of working and SAFe is a merit.
• Good English skills, both in writing and spoken.
• M. Sc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent education
• Experience with Ericsson's RAN products. Knowledge about more than one vendor's products is a merit.
