Overview

Due to ongoing growth in our European business, we are now looking for an experiencedEnvironmental Permitting Consultantto join one of our teams in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Luleå. The successful candidate will have consulting experience in themining,industrialor infrastructuresectors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead or support environmental permit applications (tillståndsansökningar) for industrial, infrastructure, energy, mining, or water-related projects, ensuring alignment with Swedish environmental legislation.
• Depending on your level of experience - business development, including securing new clients, fostering long-term client relationships, and proposal preparation.
• Attending or leading meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other stakeholders to drive project success.
• Depending on your level of experience - Project or task management, including planning and executing projects, managing budgets and schedules, ensuring quality and client satisfaction, and driving profitability.
• Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals that reflect innovation and technical excellence.
• Depending on your level of experience - mentoring or leadership of mid-career or junior staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Managing work to meet contract schedules, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and high standards of care.
• Occasional fieldwork e.g. multi-media environmental sampling/characterisation, drilling/construction oversight, contractor supervision, remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction (depending on your field of expertise).

Education and Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in geology, civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field of study.
• Advanced degree in a similar field of study. (desirable but not essential)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• At least 2 years (5+ desirable) of experience working as consultant in the contaminated land, energy / renewable energy, mining, industrial or infrastructure sectors (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both internally and externally.
• Task or project management experience (desirable but not essential)
• Experience with business development, including preparation of proposals (desirable but not essential).
• Fluency in Swedish and English (required)
