We're looking for a Senior Operations Engineer to join us at Telia.

I'm Philip Olsson, Head of IP Service Monitoring, and I'm searching for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys driving change, and wants to help shape how we operate. We're a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on monitoring the IP network, handling incidents, and coordinating technicians and resources during major events across Telia's footprint.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Operations Engineer, you'll be a key driver of operational excellence. You'll combine deep technical understanding with strong communication skills, helping us evolve our processes, influence system development, and represent our team across Telia.
  • Lead and support incident handling across IP network platforms
  • Act as an escalation point for process or system-related issues
  • Represent the team in cross-functional forums and technical discussions
  • Drive improvements by placing new demands on systems and shaping smarter ways of working
  • Create and present statistics, insights, and status reports to stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, and operational teams across Telia
  • Contribute to onboarding and support junior engineers when needed
  • Primarily work office hours, with occasional involvement during major incidents


What will help you thrive in this role:
You're analytical, structured, and confident in your technical judgment - but equally comfortable influencing others and pushing for better solutions. You enjoy connecting dots across domains and turning insights into action.
  • Strong advantages: advanced networking knowledge (e.g., CCNA/CCNP level), ITIL or incident management experience
  • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and guide others through complex situations
  • Strong communication skills, especially with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience with network monitoring, routing, switching, or operational processes
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
