Job Description:

The client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Production Engineering department, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of production tools and fixtures. This role plays a critical part in enhancing assembly processes by ensuring the availability of efficient, safe, and high-quality tooling solutions, supported by accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end development of tools and fixtures, starting from requirement analysis through to final implementation.

Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring precision and manufacturability.

Align tooling solutions with production workflows, emphasizing safety standards, operational efficiency, and product quality.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly production engineers, to define technical specifications for procurement.

Contribute to the evaluation, validation, and approval of procured tools and fixtures to ensure compliance with requirements.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all engineering deliverables within SAP systems.

Provide ongoing technical support to production teams, addressing queries and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Deliverables:

Design and development of production tools and fixtures tailored to assembly processes.

Accurate CAD models and technical drawings created in SolidWorks.

Verified and approved tooling solutions aligned with production requirements.

Proper documentation and data management within SAP.

Experience Required:

Extensive experience in production engineering, particularly within assembly-based manufacturing environments.

Proven track record in designing tools and fixtures for industrial production.

Education Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills:

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for design and modeling.

Experience working with SAP for documentation and data management.

Solid understanding of CE compliance and safety standards.

In-depth knowledge of production processes and assembly operations.

Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
