We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer for an assignment within the automotive industry. In this role, you will take a leading part in ensuring industrialization deliverables meet program milestones and that production processes reach the highest quality standards.

This assignment is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing engineering experience, a structured project leadership mindset, and hands-on expertise in installation and commissioning-combined with a strong Lean process design approach.

About the role

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, and follow-up of industrialization projects. You will coordinate commissioning and installation activities, manage issue lists, ensure equipment handover to end users, and secure manufacturing deliverables from the team to the overall car programs.

You will also work proactively with process improvements, lessons learned, and best practices, while supporting and coaching team members in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

Lead industrialization projects from initiation to closure, ensuring all deliverables are met

Coordinate installation and commissioning activities, including issue list follow-up

Ensure successful equipment handover to end users

Drive stakeholder management and collaboration with line builders and cross-functional teams

Secure manufacturing deliverables from the team to the car programs

Identify manufacturing-related obstacles, propose solutions, and escalate when needed

Report progress and status within your area of responsibility to gateway/milestone reports up to Final Data Judgment

Work with Lean process design and optimize process flows

Provide regular updates to the local Program Manager

Drive lessons learned activities, share best practices, and coach team members

Support continuous improvement and contribute to closing gaps toward the target/vision layout

Required skills & qualifications

To be successful in this assignment, you should have:

Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, including leading projects in installation and commissioning (mandatory)

Strong competence in Lean Process Design

Know-how of electric drive unit (EDU) production processes, such as rotor, stator, and inverter

Experience with assembly processes of electric drive units

Strong communication skills and professional working proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Ability to work in a multinational team environment, not only as an individual contributor

A self-starter mindset with strong troubleshooting ability and curiosity to learn new technologies

Strong analytical skills and experience in engineering data reporting
