About the Assignment

You will take an independent role as Main Inspector in a project involving the design, construction, and commissioning of industrial facilities with multiple contractors working under AB/ABT-based contracts. The assignment focuses on safeguarding the client's interests by planning, leading, and executing inspections in line with applicable regulations, approved documentation, and contractual provisions.

You will work closely with the client's project organization and coordinate with a quality inspection team within the client organization, while maintaining full independence and impartiality.

Job DescriptionPlan, coordinate, and perform inspections in accordance with AB 04 / ABT 06 and the project's inspection schedule

Lead inspection activities together with the client, contractors, and any sub-inspectors

Ensure stakeholders receive timely information regarding inspection plans and requirements

Carry out and manage inspections such as pre-inspections, final inspections, follow-up inspections, warranty inspections, and re-inspections, as well as partial/special inspections when required

Produce an overall inspection plan and detailed plans when needed, including resource planning

Issue formal inspection protocols (Besiktningsutlåtanden) in line with AB/ABT requirements

Maintain deficiency lists and follow-up documentation until closure

Deliver a final summary report upon completion

Escalate observed non-conformities or safety issues to the client without delay

RequirementsProven experience as Main Inspector (Huvudbesiktningsman) in industrial or large-scale construction projects in Sweden

Comprehensive knowledge of AB 04 / ABT 06 and Swedish construction law

Required professional certification

Technical background (civil, mechanical, electrical, or similar)

Strong communication skills in Swedish and English

Ability to work independently and manage complex inspection processes

Nice to haveExperience coordinating inspection work with dedicated QA/QC or quality inspection teams within a client organization

Experience in projects covering both construction and commissioning phases
