Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and operate secure backend services as part of an empowered agile DevOps team.

Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to define functionality, estimate work, and support effective sprint planning.

Take ownership of technical design within your domain, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines and long-term scalability.

Work hands-on with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and related tools.

Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, operational excellence, automation, monitoring, and quality.

Participate in daily collaboration within the Lindholmen office and across global teams in Europe, the US, and China.

Support the full software development lifecycle using GitLab, Jira, ArgoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, and DevOps principles.

Apply secure development practices, including mTLS and OAuth, and ensure reliability through testing and system observability.

Help shape team ways of working, share knowledge, and contribute to building high-impact, innovative cloud solutions.

What you bring:

At least five years of professional experience as a Java backend developer.

A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Strong expertise with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and REST/gRPC services.

Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Splunk, GitLab, test automation (JUnit), and CI/CD pipelines.

Solid understanding of DevOps, system monitoring, observability, and agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or Scaled Agile.

Experience working in cross-functional product teams and in environments involving connected vehicles, cloud services, or mobility solutions (meritorious).

A structured and thoughtful approach to decision-making, with strong communication skills and a habit of seeking clarification before execution.

A proactive mindset, passion for continuous learning, and commitment to improving products, processes, and technical solutions.

High integrity, strong sense of accountability, and the ability to promote ownership, transparency, and follow-through.

Fluency in English and an interest in contributing to an international, collaborative environment
