Northfork is a B2B SaaS company that makes it easier than ever to shop online for groceries. Our technology enables leading retailers, recipe publishers, and brands to convert their recipes into curated ingredient lists that are in-stock in a preferred retailer near you. At the same time taking allergens, dietary restrictions, and personal preferences into account.

We are now looking for aSenior Fullstack Engineer with a frontend focusto join our team. You will play a central role in shaping the user-facing experience of our platform, while contributing meaningfully across the full stack. You'll be part of a fast-paced expansion journey, working with a distributed team of highly skilled engineers.

Expectations

• Craft intuitive, high-performance, and maintainable user experiences
• Take ownership of frontend architecture and drive best practices in component structure, state management, performance, and testing. Frontend development will represent ~70% of your focus.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions
• Being able to contribute to backend architecture decisions, ensuring seamless integration across the stack
• Write clean, scalable, and sustainable code that balances product excellence with delivery speed
• We actively use AI tools (Claude Code, Coderabbit) in our workflow and expect engineers to use them responsibly to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
• Proactively identify improvements in performance, security, and developer experience
• Support and elevate the team through knowledge sharing and thoughtful code reviews

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success building and shipping high-quality web applications in production environments
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, TypeScript as a bonus
• Deep experience with React and modern frontend patterns (hooks, component architecture, state management, performance optimization)
• Experience designing clean, maintainable frontend architectures at scale
• Solid backend experience, preferably in PHP (Symfony), JavaScript (Express)
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration patterns
• Familiarity with AWS and modern DevOps practices
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams
• Fluent in English

This is a senior, but hands-on role. We value impact and ownership over years alone, but this position likelyrequires minimum 8 years of professional experience, with several years spent owning frontend-heavy product development.
