Role Summary
Analyze data to draw insights, patterns and conclusions that will enable the business to improve their products, services, processes or to develop new strategies. Must be adept at handling large, complex datasets and developing and applying robust analytical processes including data cleaning, data interpretation models, forecasting, pattern identification and trend analysis. As well as studying product and process-related data, may also be involved in studying environmental conditions in which the firm operates, competitor behavior, or other data sources. Requires knowledge of tools and methods including statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and MLOps. Build and deploy pipelines for deploying, monitoring and maintaining machine learning models. Interact with business domains to understand which business questions to solve with analytics.
Job Responsibilities
Advanced and Predictive Analytics
Employ machine learning techniques and build predictive, descriptive, and behavioral models to help achieve various business performance indicators and to help identify business opportunities, linking insights to actionable recommendations.
Business Requirements Identification
Collect business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
Data Exploration
Perform complex statistical analysis and utilize mining, modeling, and testing techniques to enable data analysis.
Quality Assurance
Help management to implement quality assurance change initiatives and/or make continuous operational improvements.
Data and Analytics Strategy
Make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems and platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and analytics strategy.
Data Architecture
Oversee data collection mechanisms and how they fit into data architecture, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy.
Horizon Scanning
Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
Data-Driven Product and Service Improvement
Research data from digital product/service performance, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for product/service improvement.
Data Collection and Analysis
Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Insights and Reporting
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports.
Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
