Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Expert Automation Engineer to lead the development and delivery of advanced automation solutions for LFS processing systems. This role spans the entire equipment lifecycle, including early-stage sales support, system design, development, installation, and final commissioning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and configuring automation systems using industry-leading platforms such as Siemens and Rockwell, while also developing Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) in alignment with global standards. A key aspect of the role is ensuring smooth integration with Plant Master systems and maintaining consistency with established engineering frameworks.

This position requires strong technical leadership in executing complex automation projects, supporting installation activities, and taking ownership during commissioning phases when required. The engineer will also contribute to refining engineering standards, documenting best practices, and ensuring compliance with LFS processes.

In addition, the role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, acting as a technical liaison between Sales and Engineering, and supporting customer interactions and proposal development. Mentorship of junior engineers and promoting a culture of technical excellence are also key expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead automation design and implementation across the full lifecycle of LFS processing systems

Develop, program, and configure control systems using Siemens and Rockwell platforms

Design and standardize HMI solutions in accordance with global guidelines

Ensure effective integration with Plant Master and related systems

Manage and execute technically complex automation orders

Provide support during installation and take technical ownership during commissioning activities

Align automation solutions with established LFS processes and engineering standards

Contribute to the development and improvement of technical guidelines and best practices

Collaborate with Sales teams on quotations, technical discussions, and customer requirements

Act as a technical interface between engineering teams and stakeholders

Guide and mentor junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and quality delivery

Total Years of Experience:

Extensive experience required (Senior/Expert level)

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of engineering standards and best practices

Expertise in Rockwell and Siemens automation platforms

Hands-on experience with LFS processing systems

Proven experience in system commissioning and installation support

Proficiency in HMI design and development

Familiarity with Plant Master systems integration

Strong problem-solving and technical leadership skills

Languages:

Swedish - Proficient

English - Proficient
