Job description
Position Summary:

Lead the architecture, commissioning, and continuous optimization of Artifactory infrastructure for our automotive clients, ensuring enterprise-grade artifact management across global development teams. You'll own the full lifecycle from initial setup through performance tuning, security hardening, and scaling to support millions of daily artifact transactions. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to evolve our artifact management platform while mentoring junior engineers. You'll collaborate directly with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to implement industry-specific compliance and security requirements. Success means delivering a bulletproof artifact repository that accelerates software delivery for safety-critical automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead architecture, commissioning, and optimization of JFrog Artifactory infrastructure for automotive clients
  • Own full lifecycle management from initial setup through performance tuning, security hardening, and scaling
  • Support millions of daily artifact transactions with enterprise-grade reliability and performance
  • Collaborate directly with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to implement industry-specific compliance requirements
  • Mentor junior engineers while evolving the artifact management platform
  • Implement high-availability configurations and disaster recovery for critical systems
  • Integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE) and security frameworks
  • Manage repository configurations, artifact caching strategies, and distributed architecture
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible for automated deployments
Profile Requirement:

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience with JFrog Artifactory administration and enterprise-scale implementation
  • Proven track record commissioning Artifactory from scratch in automotive or similarly regulated environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of repository management, artifact caching strategies, and distributed architecture
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Deep understanding of binary repository security, access controls, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with high-availability configurations and disaster recovery for critical systems
  • Knowledge of automotive software standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE) and security requirements
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) for automated deployments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for performance optimization and system debugging
  • Excellent communication skills for technical stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Artifactory in safety-critical automotive environments
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) compliance for toolchains
  • Background in DevOps platform engineering at scale
  • Experience with other JFrog platform components (Xray, Distribution)
  • Familiarity with container registries and Docker image management
  • Understanding of software supply chain security best practices
