To further strengthen KONE's Safety Culture and continue proactively promoting safe working practices, we are now offering an exciting opportunity for an experiencedSafety and Work Environment Specialist to join our team in Sweden.
Reporting to the Nordics Safety Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in proactively driving continuous improvement in safety performance and awareness. In this role, you will work both operationally and strategically to strengthen the safety culture, follow up on work environment objectives, and ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
You will be responsible for a broad and dynamic scope of work, combining hands-on operational support with long-term development of processes and management systems related to occupational health and safety. This position is well suited for someone who thrives on taking ownership, working in a structured manner, and leading meaningful improvements across the organization.
We are looking for an individual with a strong track record of initiative, someone who is proactive, solutions oriented, and skilled at collaborating across functions to continuously enhance the processes, procedures, and guidelines that impact work environment and safety.
What will you do?
• Plan, execute, lead, and follow up initiatives within the safety and work environment management system.
• Monitor legal and business environment development in safety, identify and propose actions.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders on work environment and safety matters, including authorities.
• Ensure effective implementation of safety policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
• Provide expertise and support to the business unit on matters affecting safety.
• Collect, analyze, and validate leading and lagging safety indicators, ensuring high data quality and reporting accuracy.
• Lead or verify incident investigations, ensuring high-quality accident and near-miss reports in collaboration with line management and technical specialists.
• Support line management and technical specialists in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigation findings.
• Share safety insights and learnings across the region to promote a consistent and proactive safety culture.
• Actively participate in health and safety committees and other safety forums to support continuous improvement.
• Prepare and deliver training in work environment and safety.
Are you the one?
• You have a suitable bachelor's or university level technical and/or occupational safety education and experience in safety development and management or equivalent competence gained through experience.
• You are familiar with safety legislation and the ISO 45001 standard.
• You have experience in a similar role, for which you have evidence of developing accident frequency in a positive direction.
• You are passionate about safety with excellent communication, training, and organizational skills.
• You cultivate an understanding and actively caring culture for safety. Act as a role model.
• You have good command of English language written and spoken.
• You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
