As a Quality Engineer you will act as a conductor between different units in the company to ensure cross functional work. There will be more reactive tasks as to solve problems as well as proactive tasks to prevent new problems to develop. This will be an opportunity to make a difference as well directly as in the future for the quality of our products.
Quality and Compliance is part of Product Management & Development Unit (PMD). PMD has the responsibility to develop innovative and leading-edge solutions for dairy farmers around the world. The focus is on milking equipment, feeding and effluent handling, as well as various solutions for improved animal welfare and animal health, including smart solutions and technology (e.g., artificial intelligence) for cow monitoring and milk analysis.
Purpose of role and key responsibilities
- Oversee market claims and actively support the effective resolution of identified issues.
- Support the collection and analysis of market feedback to ensure decisions are informed by accurate, fact based insights.
- Apply strong Root Cause Analysis skills to identify and address underlying causes rather than surface level symptoms.
- Represent the quality perspective in design, development, and risk management activities throughout product development.
- Act as a cross functional link to ensure that product quality standards are maintained or enhanced before products reach customers.
- Review, create, and update processes necessary to sustain the appropriate quality level in our products.
- Serve as an internal auditor, when required, to assess processes that influence quality outcomes.
Qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role we see that you have:
- University degree in Master of Science or experience equivalent to similar degree
- Experience from quality or technical positions within manufacturing industries (preferably automotive).
- Experience from using problem solving tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for product excellence and quality.
- A curious and open mind-set and willingness to learn what is needed to achieve greatness.
- Experience from being involved in verification of chosen solutions.
- Must be fluent in English, preferably also Swedish and/or Polish, other languages are a plus.

Additional information
This is a full-time permanent position based at DeLaval's headquarters in Tumba, south of Stockholm. We offer a hybrid workplace model, allowing flexibility to work remotely. Global travelling will be part of this position, you will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
