The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Engineer - Power System Studies to join our Product Portfolio Management team. This role is key to managing the lifecycle, requirements, configuration, and roadmap of our tools and solutions within the Power System Studies discipline. Embedded in the Engineering function, you'll collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure our solutions meet both business needs and industry standards.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Translate market and engineering needs into Product Requirement Specifications (PRS) and drive the roadmap in coordination with the Global Product Manager (GPM) and Global Product Specialist (GPS).
- Oversee the lifecycle of Discipline Solutions and internal study tools, ensuring version control, updates, and business continuity.
- Contribute to tool development and maintenance (including user guides and technical references) and keep documentation clear, current, and accessible.
- Promote disruptive innovations including leveraging AI and automation to improve study processes, reduce hours, and boost competitiveness.
- Track performance in tenders and projects, and lead improvements based on feedback.
- Collaborate across disciplines to share tools and enhance solution impact.
- Stay current with simulation tools (e.g., PSCAD, PSSE, and PowerFactory) and engage in industry forums (IEEE, Cigre), to build networks.
- Support tenders and projects with technical expertise and promote global knowledge sharing.
Your Background
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Power System Studies, Power System Tools Programming, and AI applications in power systems.
- Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in product management is highly desirable.
- Strategic and operational mindset with a focus on business productivity and efficiency.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
