This position can be based at severalAAK locations in Europe - including Zaandijk, Rotterdam, Karlshamn, Aarhus orHull.

About the role

As a ProcessEngineer at AAK, you will be a key member of the Global Engineering team,focused on enhancing the efficiency, sustainability, and performance of ourproduction facilities worldwide. You will benchmark plant operations, leadprocess optimization initiatives, and support the design, commissioning, andimplementation of new projects and modifications. This role requires strongcollaboration with global and local teams, problem-solving expertise, and acommitment to advancing best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Benchmark production plants and utilities, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Implement new projects and modifications to existing process plants - process design, equipment specifications, project management, plant commissioning.
  • Work as part of a team to develop plans and specifications for new equipment on existing sites or on Greenfield projects.
  • Design process systems, specify equipment, and manage projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and support sites during project execution and commissioning phases.
  • Provide technical assistance to AAK sites for production, engineering, and quality improvements.
  • Optimize plant performance to enhance capacity, yields, and operational costs.
  • Develop and share guidelines for best practices in process installation and operation.
  • Conduct trials and make recommendations on process aids and technologies for various applications.
  • Build AAK's engineering knowledge by delivering training to site engineers and fostering global knowledge-sharing networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of operational excellence.
  • Trials and recommendation on process aids for different applications

About you
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar, MA is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ideally 5 years' experience in the vegetable oil industry.
  • Process plant design, commissioning & optimization.
  • Knowledge of production processes, costs, quality control, raw materials and other methods for maximizing the efficient manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Advanced knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to design and understand precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • Strong skills in project management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Highly collaborative, work cross functionally and comfortable operating in a global business environment.
  • Potential frequent travel to AAK sites globally up to 30-40% of the time.
