We are seeking an experienced Mechanical and Piping Engineer to support design and engineering activities at a refinery in Nynäshamn. ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you will work closely with other Piping and Mechanical engineers in a turnaround project. The work includes on sight support, frequent visits to the refinery and multitasking.

Responsibilities:

Develop and review mechanical/piping designs and 3D models in SP3D

Perform or support piping flexibility & stress analysis

Provide site support, coordinating with construction teams, consultants, and other stakeholders

Work across all project phases: prestudy, basic engineering, detailed design, execution, and handover

Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and HSE rules

Participate in safety walks, risk assessments, and design safety reviews

Support multidisciplinary coordination to ensure effective project delivery

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:Has an Bsc or Msc in mechanical engineering from a university, or simular

Has 3-5 years experience in industrial/petrochemical piping & mechanical design

Has advanced proficiency in SP3D (including piping design, routing, and 3D modeling, pipe support design and coordination, extracting isometrics and design deliverables, conducting model reviews

Has awareness of international, European, and Swedish design standards and regulations

Is fluent in english, in both speech and writing

Meritorious:

Experience with piping stress analysis; Caesar II is a plus

Experience with SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) is an advantage

As a person we believe you have ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously. You have strong communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills. You also have strong commitment to safety and compliance with refinery HSE requirements.

EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment meaning you will be employed by Friday.
