About this opportunity:

We are seeking a Packet Core Architect to join a small, highly specialized STS PC team that operates closely with PDU PC and R&D customers in Sweden. This role combines hands on technical work with close collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure robust PC product integrations and successful release deliveries. The position offers high visibility, opportunities for niche technical mastery, and a balance of strategic and tactical responsibilities.

What you will do:

  • Own technical stewardship for the Packet Core (PC) service within STS, working across integration, release and verification activities.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex system integration issues during releases and testing, providing rapid containment and mitigation to avoid customer impacting regressions.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for R&D users, translating experimental requirements into practical product or service changes and validating solutions in real usage contexts.
  • Drive integration and tuning activities for PC product releases in R&D test environments, coordinating with PDU PC, R&D, and other teams to resolve blockers.
  • Produce clear technical documentation, run knowledge transfer sessions, and mentor team members to raise the team's overall capability.
  • Monitor progress against release objectives and incident SLAs, and present technical status and recommendations to stakeholders.

The skills you bring:

Essential

  • Deep, practical Ericsson PC product expertise with demonstrated hands on experience across the PC product family, its architecture, release cycles and common integration issues.
  • Strong systems/integration troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify, triage and resolve complex product integration problems under time pressure.
  • Proven track record of leading integrations, tuning or deployments of PC product releases in production or R&D settings.
  • Excellent communication skills for close engagement with R&D users and cross functional stakeholders, and for mentoring colleagues.

Learnable on the job

  • Specific internal Ericsson processes, tools and templates, including local STS/PDU ways of working and administrative systems.
