About the Assignment
We are looking for a Logistics Developer / Packaging and Logistics Engineer to support our client's production team in Västerås. The consultant will play a key role in daily operations, process improvement, and logistics development.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Provide daily logistics support to production
Lead logistics engineering activities and participate in morning meetings
Actively engage in cross-functional problem solving
Purchase and implement required tools and equipment for production lines
Train operators on existing processes and procedures
Methods & Processes
Manage and improve existing logistics processes in collaboration with the team
Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and internal guidelines
Own and maintain the Engineering Dashboard with support from the Logistics Engineer
Handle incoming packaging requirements and communicate with the Packaging Engineer
Identify and address business shortcomings through focused improvement projects
Project Responsibilities
Take ownership of assigned project tasks to ensure timely and quality delivery
Act as technical project manager in your area, managing mid-size teams including scheduling, resource planning, and budgeting
Be responsible for logistics line capacity planning over time
Purchase tools and equipment for the production line as needed
Develop and sustain knowledge within logistics processes and PNTL (Production & Technical Logistics) support
Drive development proposals and task execution within logistics
Ensure proper logistics support for RTO and related activities, proposing necessary actions
Create and manage material flow processes for assembly lines
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Logistics
Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics development, ideally in a production/packaging setting
Proven track record of working with production environments
Ability and willingness to work 100% on-site in Västerås
Proficient in English and Swedish
