We're now looking for aService Owner for Backup Servicesto take technical ownership of our backup and recovery service area, ensuring stable operations, strong security, and continuous improvement across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.

In this role you will have a central role in the development of Atea's service portfolio within the business area. You will get the opportunity to work closely with the service governance team, delivery organization, customer onboarding department and the development & governance organization. You will be responsible for the ongoing enhancement of existing services and play an essential role in the development of new services.

You will be part of an energetic and competent team with a strong team mindset, where you can continue your own professional development through certifications and vendor/technology specific training or gatherings.

What you'll do

• Own and evolve the technical direction and quality of our backup services
• Ensure reliable backup operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation
• Drive disaster recovery readiness, including retention, recovery procedures, and RTO/RPO alignment
• Strengthen security and compliance (encryption, immutability, access control, MFA, GDPR) in line with internal standards

What you bring

• Hands-on experience with Veeam, Commvault, and/or IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)
• Solid DR and recovery experience (incl. best practices like the 3-2-1 rule)
• Experience protecting workloads across data centers + Azure/AWS, including offsite replication and SaaS backup
• Senior operational background; certifications like VMCE / Commvault Certified Professional are a plus
• Strong communication skills to make complex topics easy to act on
