Role and responsibilities

The mission of Digital Workplace at DeLaval is to develop and govern the End User Services while ensuring their delivery and usage. By that, we contribute to DeLaval competitiveness by delivering standardized and fit for purpose infrastructure services, maintaining a balance between time to market, cost, quality and security.

We put a lot of effort into offering modern and easy to use IT services and strive to be on the forefront. A few examples are a fully cloud managed client platform (Intune), Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Teams Telephony, Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), cloud print and storage. We have moved away from legacy platforms such as SCCM and Citrix. As majority of these services are delivered by external partners, the mission is focused at governing and controlling the partners. DeLaval is in the position to transform their end user productivity tool to enable modern way of working with collaboration and mobility to work close to our customers, at our manufacturing facilities and/or from any location our colleagues prefer working from.

In this role you will be reporting to the End User Experience Manager. We are strengthening our presence by adding a second Onsite Support Specialist. You will be working in a close collaboration with the Digital Workplace Team and be responsible for all the Onsite Support activities in your site and area. Your main goal is to deliver the best onsite support possible, and we as team are working together to deliver a great end user experience to our DeLaval users.

Key responsibilties

Site IT Coordination
  • Support assigned locations remotely and collaborate with Site IT Coordinators
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with vendors
  • Act as the local contact for central IT

Digital Workplace
  • Train and onboard users for new tools and technologies
  • Handle Service Desk tickets and basic computer repairs/diagnostics
  • Install OS, applications, printers, Teams telephony, and MTR equipment
  • Use monitoring tools to improve user experience

Cybersecurity
  • Promote end-user awareness on cybersecurity topics

IT Asset Management
  • Manage PCs, peripherals, Teams telephony, and MTR equipment

Operational Technology (OT)
  • Support local network, servers, and printers
  • Coordinate with vendors and assist with audits
  • Decommission old equipment properly
  • Support printers in factory and warehouse environments, including label printers


Qualifications

To be sucessfull in this role we believe you have:

  • Microsoft 365 knowledge


  • ServiceNow Knowledge


  • Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills


  • Knowledge of and experience troubleshooting/supporting Windows 11, mobile devices


  • Networking skills such as LAN/WAN network configuration and troubleshooting, as well as VPN client connectivity


  • Good verbal/writing skills in both Swedish and English


  • An ability to cooperate and prioritize
