Job Description:

Our client is seeking an accomplished Expert Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of designing and developing sophisticated mechanical solutions for processing equipment. This role involves managing the entire product lifecycle, beginning from concept development and research through to detailed design, manufacturing support, installation, and commissioning.

The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and enhancing mechanical system architecture, ensuring that all designs align with performance, hygiene, and reliability standards. A strong emphasis is placed on improving manufacturability, welding techniques, and assembly efficiency.

Additionally, the role requires advanced expertise in 3D CAD tools (particularly Inventor), execution of detailed mechanical calculations, and validation of engineering concepts through structured testing and analysis. The engineer will also play a key role in on-site support activities, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues during installation and operational phases.

As a senior member of the engineering team, the individual is expected to demonstrate a proactive and structured working approach, adapt efficiently to evolving project requirements, and contribute as a technical mentor, fostering best practices and high-quality engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems across the full equipment lifecycle

Establish and optimize mechanical architecture for processing equipment

Perform detailed engineering calculations and prepare technical specifications

Utilize 3D CAD tools (Inventor) for advanced modeling and design validation

Enhance manufacturability, welding processes, and assembly methodologies

Conduct mechanical testing to validate theoretical and practical designs

Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and production phases

Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues on-site

Ensure seamless integration with cross-functional engineering disciplines

Mentor junior engineers and uphold engineering quality standards

Total Years of Experience:

Extensive experience required (Senior/Expert level)

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of welding processes

Expertise in 3D CAD tools (Inventor)

Hands-on experience with LFS equipment and processes

Proficiency in mechanical testing and validation

Advanced troubleshooting capabilities during installation and production

Strong foundation in mechanical calculations and design principles

Languages:

English - Proficient

Swedish - Proficient
