Material planner & S&OP Administrator

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-orientedMaterial Plannerto join our newly established Beverage Planning Team in Kågeröd. This role is primarily responsible for material ordering and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production plans. You will work in close collaboration with production planners, suppliers, and external warehouses to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize scrap. Additionally, you will support the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process and participate in projects that contribute to the overall efficiency of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Material Planning & Purchasing

• Order materials within assigned responsibility areas in line with internal guidelines and procedures.
• Coordinate with Marketing regarding packaging design changes and ensure proper approvals.
• Contact Sourcing if materials lack contractual agreements.
• Follow up on order confirmations and update delivery dates in the system.
• Actively manage deviations in delivery times or quantities with suppliers, updating systems and escalating unresolved issues.
• Identify and address stock imbalances (both overstock and shortages).

Delivery & Inventory Coordination

• Proactively monitor material deliveries and take action on delays.
• Act as contact point for warehouse issues related to deliveries and booking.
• Collaborate with SAP support to resolve system-related issues, including those involving interfaces like PostNord.

Production Material Availability

• Ensure material availability for production through close collaboration with production planners.
• Independently coordinate material retrieval from external storage as per guidelines.
• Identify and address any material shortages affecting production and escalate unresolved issues.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Participate in and co-lead supplier meetings for regular business updates and changes (e.g., design, artwork, specifications).
• Apply sufficient material knowledge to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

S&OP Coordination

• Manage the administrative process for forecast collection (FC) and upload within the S&OP framework.
• Prepare data files, follow up with the sales team, and ensure accurate upload of data into APO/SAP.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma required; additional education in supply chain, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
• Experience in supplier communication, warehouse/logistics, and working with external storage solutions is highly valued.

Skills & Qualifications

• Fluent in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP/APO preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently.
• Able to manage and prioritize multiple daily and ad-hoc tasks under tight timelines.
• A self-starter with a high attention to detail and curiosity for understanding processes and systems.
• Interest in supply chain flow and value chain optimization.
