Planning & Fulfillment Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As a Material Planner, you will play a key role in securing material availability and improving performance across our global supplier base. Your work directly supports the success of the Planning & Fulfillment Center in Västerås, helping to ensure high delivery precision, optimized inventory levels, and reliable supply to our customers.In this role, you will:• Manage the full demand cycle - from placing purchase orders and monitoring order acknowledgements to ensuring material receipt and invoice payment.• Monitor supplier deliveries to secure material availability and proactively identify, manage, and prevent both short- and long-term shortages.• Communicate and follow up on supplier forecasts.• Strive to optimize inventory levels while maintaining high service levels.• Maintain daily contact with global suppliers and collaborate with colleagues both locally and internationally.• Drive and participate in improvement initiatives and projects.• Live ABB's core values of safety and integrity - taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree in Logistics or other relevant work experience is preferable.
• Experience from work with material planning/operational purchasing is meritorious.
• Satisfactory knowledge in the MS Office package, especially Excel.
• SAP experience is meritorious.
• Fluent written and spoken Swedish and English.
• You are a structured team player with good learning capability. You are curious and enjoy exploring, developing and improve processes and the way of operating.
• Experience in lean manufacturing
